Value Management & Value Engineering
Value Management is a structured team-based approach for reviewing projects to ensure they fulfil their required purpose in the most cost effective way (does the project provide value for money). The aim is to search for ideas and options which improve the delivery of objectives/enhance functionality, reduce cost without impacting upon the objectives/functions. CAP X can facilitate value management workshops and play an active role in this important business tool to ensure that the project achieves value for money.
Value Engineering is a review subsequent to the VM workshop (s) that addresses delivery of objectives/functions at optimum cost. CAP X will continue to review the project to ensure that opportunities are not missed that can reduce the cost of the project, without affecting the functionality and will monitor the implementation of the value engineering decisions made. |
